My First Blog

    Hello,

My name is Janae, I am from Battle Ground, Washington a small town about 45 minutes from Portland, Oregon. I love the outdoors i spend as much time as possible outside when the weather allows it since we get tons of rain from October through May. On the side, I do photography mostly going to the beach and taking pictures there since it is one of my favorite places. In the summer I ride quads also known as four-wheelers down in the sand dunes it has been my hobby since I was four years old and I'm glad my family has continued going as I grew up. This last year I picked up an old hobby of mine I have started reading again and I have found so much joy in it and it's been taking up much of my free time.

Art has always interested me, I took art classes when I was younger and as I got older I slowly lost my ability to draw or paint. If I were able to pick a style of art it would be painting. I love watching art videos and seeing the process since everyone is so different in art styles. There are no art museums near me, but there are art fairs that I have gone to a couple of times and I have enjoyed them so much!. Art history I have always enjoyed it, with learning the different ways to express art.

  3. Hi Janae,
I'm not familiar with this artist or his paintings. However, the monochrome watercolor scene caught my attention. It seems to be influenced by oriental art and has an exquisite technique. The blue landscape invites daydreaming and relaxation. Captivating choice!

I also really enjoy the outdoors. I have grown up hunting, fishing and camping here in rural Alaska. I like the image you have chosen, I'd like to ask what you like to paint?

I love the art you picked. I’ve never seen it before. I also love being outdoors. I grew up mostly in Tennessee and we were always camping or out on the lake.
